Greetings to our Ryan White Food Pantry Clients,

The purpose of this notice is to keep our clients aware of eligibility changes to Food Bank service category.

Over the years eligibility for Food Bank has changed a lot, this is due to funding and not reflected on need. We add more food into your (Bag) unit than the Ryan White Program paid for.

The Ryan White Part A Planning Council is responsible to set eligibility for all service categories.  On August 31, 2017 The Planning Council changed eligibility for Food Bank.

The New eligibility for Food Bank:

Client’s income from 0% to 150% of Federal Poverty Level (*FPL):   18 units a year/ 6 can be from the voucher Program /no more than two units within a month.

Client’s income from 151% to 250% of FPL: 12 units a year/no more than one unit within a month.

Client’s income from 250% to 300% of FPL: Can only receive three emergency food boxes a year.

FPL: Federal Poverty level    Units: one week of food

FPL for someone at 150% (Monthly income)

Household size 1 Person at $1,485.76 /2 Person at $1,848.46/ 3 Person at $2,326.16/ 4 Person at $2,803.84

More changes could come, we will do our best to keep you up any upcoming changes. We encourage you to attend meetings and become member of the committees that will impact your health.

Who will speak for you? The Planning Council has very few clients will show up for meeting.
