South Florida Hunger Coalition
The South Florida Hunger Coalition was founded by The Coordinating Council of Broward County in 2001. This ambitious countywide effort is driven by a strategic plan designed to fill and maintain the food pantries throughout the county. By 2004, the Children’s Services Council of Broward County began to fund committee staff and activities, and today South Florida Hunger Coalition coordinates the efforts of more than 75 agencies in Broward County extending to Monroe, Dade, Palm Beach, Martin, St Lucie, Indian River and Okeechobee Counties. We are supported by dozens of community partners.
THEIR MISSION
We believe no one should be hungry. We are the voice and the hope for the hungry in our community.
We are a resource for hunger-related initiatives; assist in raising funds and donations; facilitate, advocate and collaborate amongst various initiatives on behalf of hungry.
